Can you believe it is already the middle
of November?
Me either! I have a bunch of holiday gifts still waiting
to be started.
I might have to
rethink some of my more ambitious plans.
If you are in the same boat, here are a few last-minute gift ideas you
can make in time for those holiday gatherings.
Lacy Poinsettia
Wreath for you table. Easy applique on
felt. Just fuse the shapes, stitch them
down, and trim away the extra let to make it look lacy. This is the 18” round version with a hole
left in the middle to make it look like a wreath.
You can also fill the center and it is a nice
table centerpiece for a cute candle.
For the crafty
friend, how about a springy Fat Quarter Pop-Up?
They are useful and fun to play with… a win-win! Pattern comes with
instructions, spring, elastic and a cute label.
You just need a fat quarter (non-directional) and a little bit of
stabilizer (I like SF101 by Pellon).
For all those teachers…
add a cute Lacy Ornament to a coffee mug filled with tea or cocoa. Have your kids sign and date the ornaments
with a felt-tipped marker to add a personal touch.
I hope you have a
lovely time sewing and crafting for the holidays!
