It's A Mini!

We have a new addition to the Pop Up Family!  I am so excited to show you the newest little bundle of joy...Mini Pop Ups!

I had many requests for extra small pop ups over the last 6 months.  Many of you sew on the go and having something that fits easily in your car seems to be a must! This cute little pop up is only 3" in diameter and 4-1/2" tall... just perfect to throw in your purse for a thread catcher.

Hang it on the front of your longarm and it rides along with you as you quilt!
You will never have to walk over to your thread catcher again... it is always where you are!

Are you a Row by Row Fabric-Plate TM collector?  It fits just perfectly on the front for a personalized memory of all the fun!
Add some Insul-Bright and make it into a fun Can Koozie!  Won't the girls be jealous of you at your next sewing night?

Here is the best part...I have included a free Quick and Easy 'no-circle' Method as a free pattern!  In addition, it includes the yardage and dimensions needed for other compatible existing patterns.  So, if you already love the Fat Quarter Pop-Up or Stacking Pop-Up Patterns, you can make them using either of those construction methods as well!

Ask your Local Quilt Shop to order some in today!  Thank you for supporting your local quilt shops!

Now for those ladies… you know who you are… that wanted dozens and dozens.  Bulk packs are also available.

FQG131 Mini Pop-Up Refill
Retail MSRP $7.49.

If you don’t have a quilt shop near you… they are available on my little online shop now.

Bulk Packs
Mini 3” Pop-Up Refill 6 Pack               Only $40.00        Savings of $4.94
Mini 3” Pop-Up Refill 12 Pack             Only $77.00        Savings of $12.88
Have you checked out the new Pop-Up Partner info sheets lately?

My favorite designers have been busy putting their quilt blocks onto pop ups for you to be inspired by!  The free downloadable info sheets will give you the directions needed to take an existing quilt pattern and use the blocks to build the Outer Fabric section of a pop up.  Finish up with the Stacking Pop-Up Pattern and Refill.

There are lots of fun ideas for you to try!  Hop on over to each designer’s website (click on the highlighted link to their patterns) to see all the other fun patterns they offer!

Thanks for taking the time to read my newsletter!

Happy Quilting!

Quilter's Block Party

proof you don't want me on your team... bahahaha
I am today's guest blogger for Purple Moose Design's fun blog hop! The Head Moose, Terri, created a fun game for all of the crazy quilters out there. It is similar to Pictionary... but so much better... because it is all quilting all the time!!

I played the game in Washington D.C. last March with a wild and crazy group of creative professionals. Like any true introvert, I chose to hang back and guess only. This proved to be a wise position as the play got more involved and everyone started getting into the swing of things. It was so much fun! I can't remember who's team won... :)

Leave a comment (I'll need an email to contact you) on my blog post for a chance to win this fabulous prize... a Quilter's Block Party game and my newest pop-up pattern for your furry friends!  Winner will be selected on Monday, June 13th.  Visit the Head Moose's blog for a chance to win the Grand Prize too!
So, you all must know what is coming...
Here are three cards for you to try to guess...
Drawing skills are lacking at the Fat Quarter Gypsy...

Ok... this wasn't the most difficult one.  I decided to start with the one I considered my "Masterpiece".  Things go down quickly from here.

My son Ryan rolled his 19 year old eyes at this one and told me I should probably stick to quilt design.  Stinker...

4 words.

I added the little guy at the bottom and his big feet to help you with this one.  Probably just made it worse.

Lastly, the one absolutely 100% of my family and friends couldn't get.
4 words.
Yes, that is a sailboat... and the wiggly stuff on the side is in the ocean... but pretend it isn't.  I just started drawing on that side.  Maybe seeing this drawing in person would have helped? Ok, fine... it is bad.  But I tried to remember my geography from memory.  It has been quite a few years since I was in High School.  That's a hint by the way.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read all the way to the bottom...
good for you!!

The Answers are...

2. Steps to the Alter

Sneak Peek... T-shirt Pop Ups!

The next pop up pattern is going to be fun!
I am so excited to finally be able to share the details of my next pop up pattern!

FQG128 T-shirt Pop Ups

Graduation season is coming soon. The college bound freshman are going to love taking along pop ups to organize those dorm rooms!

Extra Large pop up in the Basic Layout shown.

This is a Large pop up in the Colorful Layout.  I used 3 child's T-shirts and the left overs after cutting out the graphics (sleeves, back, etc) to cut the pieces for in-between. You can also use cotton prints for the filler pieces.
The Nothing But T's Layout allows you to put together an adorable pop up.  The Fat Quarter Gypsy pop up uses a single T-shirt for the entire outer fabric (sides and base).  For the Glasses pop up, the graphic was too close to the neckline. I added a filler of a coordinating fabric along the top.
You don't have to limit yourself to using only T-shirts!  The next few examples are made from towels!

Leave a comment on my blog before midnight on Friday, 2/19/16 to win a copy of the T-shirt Pop Up Pattern and a Spring!

Make sure you leave an email address so I have a way
way to contact you. If not, a new winner will be chosen.
Prize will be shipped around 3/15/2016 once the
FQG128 T-shirt Pop Up Pattern is released.
Winner gets to choose the size of spring they would like to receive.
