Little Lovely Libby...

A fun, free pattern for a mini-quilt, table runner and more!
--- there is also a giveaway ---
Happy February!

It is the month of love and what better way to kick it off than with a fun mini-quilt pattern!

Susan Emory from Swirly Girls Design invited me to design a cute, little mini-quilt for her Little Lovelies Mini-Series. Each month Susan posts a new project with a free pattern on her blog. This month gives you a chance to dig into your romantic scraps and make an adorable little heart to brighten up your wall all month long!

To enter the giveaway... visit Susan's blog and leave a comment!

Here is Libby in a bold red with a little love in the heart.
But there is even more!
If you hop on over to my website you can also download a free pattern to make a Libby Table Runner!

For my Pop-Up fans, I also put together instructions to make the Outer Side section for a Large Pop-Up!  You will still need the Stacking Pop-Up Pattern... but I know many of you already have it.  If not, you can purchase the pattern and spring here.

I would like to thank Susan for inviting me to design a Little Lovely!

Don't forget to visit Susan's blog TODAY and make a comment to win fun prizes including a Stacking Pop-Up Pattern and Large Refill so you can make your own Libby Pop-Up!

Giveaway ends tonight (2/1/2016) at midnight.
Mark you calendars!

A fun Blog Hop starts next Monday, February 8th!

I have invited Ten designers to have some fun with pop ups!  Each day there will be a featured designer showing you clever ways to jazz up a pop up.  Each day will also have a fun giveaway!

See you next week!

Best Kids Quilts 2015

Welcome! It has been too long since I last posted, so I have a lot to cover! I have 3 new patterns since last Fall. No wait... 4! The latest one is something I am very, very excited about. In addition, I have 2 quilts featured in Quilters Newsletter's Best Kids 2015! Today's blog will start with those kids quilts.

Make sure to read to the bottom for details about two fun prizes you can win just for visiting my blog today!

House of Sweet Dreams

I channeled my inner little girl for this quilt. I was one of those tomboy girls who also loved dolls and dollhouses. I was forever turning a shelf or box into a dollhouse as a child. Once I started sewing, the possibilities were endless! I made so many different outfits and accessories for my dolls that I could have started my own Etsy store... too bad the internet didn't exist yet!

I used Art Gallery's Cherie Collection plus some of their standard prints and solids to make this cute version.
I couldn't resist putting together a scrappy version.
Next up is Tubular. As the mother of two rambunctious teenage boys, there is no way I can escape their influence in my designs. It can be hard to find the perfect quilt for the science-minded guy... Tubular might just fill that void for a few of you out there!
I like to think of Tubular as a view into a food processing plant... can't you imagine clear glass tubes moving carrots and beans through a plant? I sure can!
Chopped was first introduced last fall in Quilters Newsletter's Best Fat Quarter Quilts. It is now available in a stand-alone pattern. 8 Fat Quarters is all you need to make a fun, beginners quilt! Don't hold yourself back if you can't find veggie prints... the sky's the limit to the fun you could have mixing prints!
Tumbling Trees Table Runner Pattern
Tumbling Trees uses fat quarters and the Creative Grids 30 Degree ruler to make a charming tree design. You can make a table runner, four placemats or a bed runner from this easy pattern. Add a little holiday cheer by appliqueing stars on the trees and buttons for ornaments!
If you love Fat Quarter Friendly designs, Sunset Stroll should be perfect for you! Fat Quarters in four colors are combined to make this stunning quilt. The outer border is what defines this quilt and makes it extra special!
Fat Quarter Pop Up Pattern
I'm so excited to introduce you to my latest pattern! Last Saturday was the very first day anyone got to see the Fat Quarter Pop Up in person! The response was fantastic...and I think you will have a ton of fun making several of these cute pop up containers! Ask your local quilt shop to carry them today!

One more thing...

Let's get to the good stuff!

Comment on my blog post... and leave your email address by Midnight CST on Sunday, May 10th,2015 for a chance to win a fantastic Fat Quarter Bundle from P&B Textiles called Dash.  Who wouldn't love to win that??

In addition, I will be giving some lucky person a Fat Quarter Pop Up pattern!
So, let's get those comments rolling!!

Happy Quilting!
